Maumelle Charter snaps eight-game streak of wins at home

Recap: Maumelle Charter Falcons vs. Lamar Warriors

It was a good run, but the Maumelle Charter Falcons unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 68-50 bruising from Lamar. Maumelle Charter lost against Lamar in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 66-42 score last time.

Lamar's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaz Crotts, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Noonan, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Maumelle Charter's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8. As for Lamar, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Maumelle Charter will take on Baptist Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Baptist Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arkansas Rankings (they are ranked 269th, while Maumelle Charter is ranked 113th). As for Lamar, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Central Arkansas Christian at 7:00 a.m. Central Arkansas Christian will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
