The New Kent Trojans entered their tilt with the Lafayette Rams with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. New Kent secured a 75-71 W over Lafayette on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

When it comes to explaining why Lafayette lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jarquez Garrett. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with nine assists and seven steals. Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Kent will take on York at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. York will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 231st, while New Kent is ranked 51st). As for Lafayette, they will be playing at home against Warhill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
