Volleyball Recap: Sunnyside Takes a Loss

Sunnyside saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Odyssey Institute Minotaur. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caitlin Celestino was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had four digs and three aces. What's more, she posted three assists, the most she's had over her last eight contests. Naomi Flores also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Sunnyside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Odyssey Institute, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-9 record.

Looking ahead, Sunnyside will challenge Rio Rico at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Odyssey Institute, they have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Horizon Honors on the 20th.
