Soccer Game Preview: Olympic vs. Palisades

The Olympic Trojans will head out to face off against the Palisades Pumas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Olympic and six for Palisades.

Olympic fell victim to Ballantyne Ridge and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 9-0 to Wolves. While losing is never fun, Olympic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 328th, while Ballantyne Ridge are ranked 161st).

Meanwhile, Palisades also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against South Mecklenburg on Thursday, falling 9-0.

Olympic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-2. As for Palisades, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Olympic might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Palisades in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Olympic avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
