Soccer Game Preview: Morehead vs. McMichael

Morehead is on a three-game streak of home losses, and McMichael a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Morehead Panthers will welcome the McMichael Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. Morehead has given up an average of 4.8 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Morehead faced off against West Stokes on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 9-0 to the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, McMichael won against Walkertown last Tuesday with six goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Friday. The Phoenix walked away with a 6-4 win over South Stokes. It was an even better day for Ava Williamson as she scored three goals for her team.

Morehead's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for McMichael, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Morehead suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to McMichael in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
