Basketball Recap: West Carroll Takes a Loss

West Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 64-46 bruising from the River Ridge Wildcats. If the Thunder were looking for revenge after losing 60-28 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

River Ridge was led to victory by Damon Dittmar and Joe Winter. Dittmar went 13-for-24 on his way to 30 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals, while Winter went 7-for-14 en route to 21 points and eight boards. The contest was Winter's third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Keleher, who posted six points.

West Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 5-21. As for River Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-14 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: River Ridge beat West Carroll by a score of 66-38 on Friday.
