Softball Recap: Scripps Ranch Finds Home Field Redemption Against West Hills

There's no place like home for Scripps Ranch, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the West Hills Wolf Pack 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted against the Wolf Pack since April 8, 2015.

The team relied heavily on Katelyn Toth, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Sarah Mather also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

The victory got Scripps Ranch back to even at 3-3. As for West Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Scripps Ranch didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-2 win against Ramona on the 21st. As for West Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-10 victory against Granite Hills on the 21st.
