Recap: Firebaugh Eagles vs. Coalinga Horned Toads
The Firebaugh Eagles suffered their biggest defeat since December 16, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 76-52 walloping at the hands of Coalinga. If Firebaugh hoped to take revenge for the 66-41 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Coalinga's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Damyen Tamayo, who scored 25 points. Tamayo is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Ryan Howard was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Firebaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Coalinga, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
