Miller Grove waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Stone Mountain Pirates. That's more bragging rights for the Wolverines, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Miller Grove easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17.

Miller Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Payton Black, who had six kills and four aces. Black has been hot recently, having posted four or more aces the last three times she's played. Jordan Gray was another key player, getting five aces.

They weren't the only good server: Miller Grove was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive contests.

Miller Grove's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Stone Mountain, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Miller Grove will square off against Cross Keys at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Stone Mountain has already played their next game (against McNair), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
