After losing to Kennedy the last time they met, Union City decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Union City Soaring Eagles walked away with a 56-48 victory over the Kennedy Knights on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Soaring Eagles.

Despite the loss, Kennedy still got an impressive performance from Shay Shay Clancy, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 rebounds. That was a full 56.3% of Kennedy's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Juliana Odum, who had 12 points.

Union City's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Kennedy, their record is now 2-2.

Union City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 35-31 victory against Morristown on the 30th. As for Kennedy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-33 win against Paramus Catholic on the 30th.
