Volleyball Recap: Eden Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Eden Christian Academy entered their matchup against Fort Cherry on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Eden Christian Academy fell just short of Fort Cherry by a score of 3-2. Eden Christian Academy was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Fort Cherry earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While Eden Christian Academy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 16 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-18, 25-18, 17-25, 18-16.

Ava Arnold paced Eden Christian Academy's offense, picking up 22 kills. Arnold got some help from Ainsley Chevalier and her 54 assists. Bella Yurkovac and Nina Oliver kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Eden Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Fort Cherry, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Eden Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Beaver County Christian on the 10th. Fort Cherry has also already played their next match (against Union Area), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
