Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Maple Mountain couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 5-2 to the Spanish Fork Dons on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their 17-game winning streak.

Hayden Hyatt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. AJ Thomas was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

Maple Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 27-2. As for Spanish Fork, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-16 record this season.
