Basketball Recap: Rampart Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Claire Colosimo and Arabelle Madril

Rampart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 62-36 to the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-15.

Arabelle Madril and Claire Colosimo certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Madril shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds, while Colosimo went 5-for-8 on her way to 11 points and three steals. Madril is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Sahriah Smith went supernova for Fountain-Fort Carson, going 5-for-12 to rack up 19 points. Amiyah Nash was another key player, putting up six points and seven boards.

Rampart's record now sits at 3-16. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, their record is now 7-12.

Looking ahead, Rampart will face off against Pueblo Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they will take on Pueblo West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
