Soccer Game Preview: Thomas Jefferson vs. Arapahoe

The Thomas Jefferson Spartans are taking a road trip to take on the Arapahoe Warriors at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Thomas Jefferson is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Friday, they were much more limited against Longmont on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The loss was the Spartans' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Arapahoe waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Eagles 7-0. Give the Warriors' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Adams City from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Stella Tognetti led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Arapahoe's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Thomas Jefferson, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
