Volleyball Recap: Dutch Fork Silver Foxes vs. Lexington Wildcats

Dutch Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Lexington Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15, 25-21.

Shamiya Jefferson paced Dutch Fork's offense, picking up four kills. Jefferson got some help from Mylan Robinson and her 13 assists.

Among those leading the charge was Juliette Grandjean, who had nine digs and two aces. What's more, she posted three assists, the most she's had since back in September. Macy Krick also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Dutch Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Lexington, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-16.

Coming up, Dutch Fork will face off against River Bluff at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lexington, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Blythewood on the 13th.
