Fairview lost to Iroquois back in August, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Braves.

Fairview had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-17, 15-9.

Karina Arutyunyan paced Fairview's offense, picking up 14 kills. Arutyunyan got some help from Gaelie Hynes and her 44 assists.

Despite the loss, Iroquois saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Paisley Cook had 19 digs and two aces.

Fairview's win bumped their record up to 13-8-1. As for Iroquois, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10-3.

As of now, neither Fairview nor the Braves have any future games scheduled.
