League recap: Cropper dominating on the mound for Green Valley

I Sunrise - Northeast league recap: 3/20/13

Troy Cropper was the top pitcher in I Sunrise - Northeast this week, leading Green Valley. He picked up one win and nine strikeouts.

Jarod Penniman was on fire this week, as he led the league with a .615 average with four RBIs. Meanwhile, the Gators put together a 2-2 week.

Green Valley's pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only 29 hits and ten walks, both of which led the league.

The Gators, the league's stolen base leader this season with 26, added to their lead in that category with 17 more steals over the past week.

Green Valley's Penniman tore up I Sunrise - Northeast this week as he led the league in average, hits and RBIs. Penniman compiled a .615 average on eight hits and drove in four runs.



Ryan Jackson struck out eight in Coronado's 1-0 win over the Gators on March 15. Over seven innings of work, he gave up seven hits and one run.
