Basketball Recap: Zelden Chukes Key Part of a Team Effort in Bobcats Win

Munroe's tournament run continued when they took on Chiles on Friday. The Munroe Bobcats secured a 49-43 W over the Chiles Timberwolves.

Munroe's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zelden Chukes, who posted nine points in addition to six boards and four steals. Chukes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Wright, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 13 points.

Chiles' loss came despite strong showings from Omar Ezzagaghi and Carson Ginn. Ezzagaghi put up ten points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Ginn had 11 points and seven rebounds. Tyler Harvard was another key player, putting up two points.

Munroe's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Chiles, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Munroe and West Hall will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th. As for Chiles, they will challenge Ravenwood at 1:30 p.m. on December 27th. Chiles is facing Ravenwood at the right time seeing as Ravenwood is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
