Softball Recap: Galva's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Galva can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Bureau Valley Storm. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 11-1 win the Storm walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Jovie Weber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Galva saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylyn Gale, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Galva's victory bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Bureau Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-17.

As of now, neither Galva nor the Storm have any future games scheduled.
