Soccer Game Preview: Cleveland vs. Fuquay - Varina

The Cleveland Rams will venture away from home to face off against the Fuquay - Varina Bengals at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Cleveland fell victim to Rolesville and their airtight defense last Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rolesville. While losing is never fun, Cleveland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 328th, while Rolesville is ranked 131st).

Meanwhile, Fuquay - Varina came up short against Apex Friendship on Friday, falling 4-1. The loss continues a trend for Fuquay - Varina in their meetings with Apex Friendship: they've now lost four in a row.

Fuquay - Varina's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Cleveland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7-1.

Cleveland couldn't quite get it done against Fuquay - Varina when the teams last played back in March as they fell 3-1. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
