East Lake added to the longest winning streak in 7A District 9 this week by beating Palmetto, 13-12. This was the team's 11th consecutive win.

Pinellas Park took down Sarasota 32-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Pierre Johnson ran for 135 yards and caught 1 pass for 10 yards in the win.

Johnson was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 135 yards on 13 carries as the Patriots bested the Tigers. Kal-el Williams also contributed to the rushing game with 105 yards on the ground.

Bob Hudson's team's Jake Hudson and Campbell led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hudson has thrown for 1,054 yards this season, while Campbell, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 23 catches for 559 yards. Johnson from Pinellas Park leads the league in rushing with 1,192 yards.

The top two teams in 7A District 9 will face off this week when first place East Lake takes on second place Pinellas Park. Last week, the Eagles bested Palmetto, while Kenneth Crawford's team beat the Sailors.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Patriots take on East Lake. Pinellas Park has allowed 110 points this season, while the Eagles have given up 68. The Patriots allowed 7 points last week as they topped Sarasota.
