The Palisades Pirates will take on the Southern Lehigh Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Palisades' favor as the squad sits on eight straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Southern Lehigh has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Palisades made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Kutztown, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Pirates put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 9-3 win on Saturday. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.
Karlye Teman made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Palisades kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, while Southern Lehigh put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Salisbury Township. The Spartans came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 5-0. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
