 Red Mountain is 10-0 against Mesa since April of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The Red Mountain Mountain Lions will head out on the road to  challenge  the Mesa Jackrabbits at 3:45  p.m. Red Mountain will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
 Red Mountain stacked  a  15th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. Everything went their way against O'Connor as Red Mountain made off with  a  6-0 victory. Give Red Mountain's pitching crew some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.
  Kendall Cochran spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just zero earned runs on one hit and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Payton Maguire and  Payton Westra did most of the damage at the plate:  Maguire  scored a  run while going 2-for-3, while  Westra  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Taylor Hampton, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Mesa fell victim to a  rough 18-5 loss at the hands of Mountain View  on Tuesday.
 Red Mountain has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 17 of their last 18 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record  this season. As for Mesa, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-19.
 Red Mountain took their  win against Mesa  in their previous matchup  two weeks ago by a conclusive  24-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Red Mountain since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
