Volleyball Recap: Gilbert Classical Academy Wins Going Away Against Mountainside

Gilbert Classical Academy won the last time they faced Mountainside and things went their way on Friday too. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wolves.

Gilbert Classical Academy was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-22, 26-24.

Aveline Scilley paced Gilbert Classical Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Scilley were helped by Mackenzie Redford and Aspen Guymon, who contributed 12 assists each. Scilley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Gilbert Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Gilbert Classical Academy has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against ALA - Anthem South on the 2nd. As for Mountainside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against St. John Paul II Catholic on the 8th.
