Softball Recap: Lawrence Central Comes Up Short

Lawrence Central came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Franklin Central Flashes, falling 15-3. The Bears were not able to make up for their loss to the Flashes from their previous meeting back in May of 2018.

Lawrence Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rebecca Radcliffe, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Lawrence Central has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Franklin Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-7.

Lawrence Central has already played their next game (against Warren Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Franklin Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-2 victory against Perry Meridian on the 10th.
