If Riverside Prep was feeling good fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Academy for Academic Excellence last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Silver Knights fell just short of the University Prep Jaguars by a score of 10-8 on Tuesday. The Silver Knights' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meeka Martinez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Riverside Prep's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-9. As for University Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
