Baseball Game Preview: Sierra Lutheran Falcons vs. Silver Stage Nighthawks

The Sierra Lutheran Falcons will head out to challenge the Silver Stage Nighthawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Sierra Lutheran and four for Silver Stage.

Last Saturday, Sierra Lutheran came up short against North Tahoe and fell 14-9.

Matt Fahey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Sierra Lutheran: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-9-1 otherwise. Noah Ramirez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Silver Stage fell victim to Oasis Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 14-0 to the Bighorns.

Landen Wolf was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Sierra Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Silver Stage, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Sierra Lutheran skirted past Silver Stage 5-3 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Does Sierra Lutheran have another victory up their sleeve, or will Silver Stage turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
