Basketball Game Preview: Blake Yellow Jackets vs. Gateway Charter Griffins

The Blake Yellow Jackets will challenge the Gateway Charter Griffins at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Blake's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Saturday, Blake beat North Broward Prep 61-50.

It was another big night for Jason Johnson, who went 7 for 9 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Joe Philon, who posted seven points in addition to seven boards and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Gateway Charter had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Archbishop Carroll with an 80-76 victory last Monday.

Blake's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Gateway Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
