Basketball Recap: Arroyo Grande Takes a Loss

Arroyo Grande lost against St. Joseph back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Arroyo Grande Eagles were dealt a 101-53 loss at the hands of the St. Joseph Knights. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-27.

St. Joseph got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tounde Yessoufou out in front who went 11-for-15 to rack up 26 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Yessoufou's evening made it 26 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Julius Price, who went 8-for-12 on his way to 19 points and eight assists.

Arroyo Grande dropped their record down to 11-17 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for St. Joseph, the victory was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 28-1.

As of now, neither Arroyo Grande nor St. Joseph have any future games scheduled.
