Volleyball Recap: Hamden Green Dragons vs. Glastonbury Guardians
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hamden can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glastonbury Guardians on Thursday.
Bella Green paced Hamden's offense, picking up 12 kills. Green got some help from Tamia Walters and her 28 assists. Kerlin Duran and Thea Zuccardy kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
Leading Glastonbury to victory were Leah Mosca and Lexi Marques. Mosca had 15 digs and three aces, while Marques had eight digs. That's the most digs Marques has posted over her last four contests.
Hamden's defeat dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Glastonbury, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-3-2 record this season.
Hamden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Glastonbury, they will square off against Amity Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
