Baseball Recap: West Bladen Gets the Win

West Bladen gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Golden Tornadoes: they've now won three in a row.

West Bladen's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cade Allen, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double. Those three hits gave Allen a new career-high. Another was Aiden Russ, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

West Bladen's record is now 10-4. As for Fairmont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

West Bladen will have a chance to go back-to-back against Fairmont: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
