Basketball Game Preview: Greenwood Eagles vs. Mauldin Mavericks

The Greenwood Eagles will square off against the Mauldin Mavericks at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Greenwood came up short against J.L. Mann and fell 67-59. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Mauldin was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 57-52 to Woodmont. While the Mavericks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 17-10 in the first quarter.

Greenwood's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Mauldin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 16-9 record this season.
