The Murrieta Valley Nighthawks's found some homefield redemption this week after a tough overtime loss to the Temecula Valley Golden Bears on Friday. Murrieta Valley secured a 69-64 W over Great Oak. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Murrieta Valley can attribute much of their success to Jacob Casillas, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Casillas has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Steffen, who scored 13 points along with two steals.

Murrieta Valley's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8. As for Great Oak, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season.
