Baseball Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 14-1 to the Latta Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-1 two weeks ago.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Latta, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Marion will be playing at home against Manning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Latta, they will square off against Johnsonville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Flashes have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
