Softball Recap: Bothell Find Success

Bothell's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They skirted past the Ballard Beavers 4-2. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Beavers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Addison Hall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kolbi Schmer was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Jordyn Coccia was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases.

The victory got Bothell back to even at 3-3. As for Ballard, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bothell will host Skyline at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ballard, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Garfield at 4:00 p.m. Ballard's pitchers better be ready for this one: Garfield has averaged an impressive 14.1 runs per game this season.
