Albemarle hadn't done well against L.C. Bird recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Albemarle Patriots strolled past the L.C. Bird Skyhawks with points to spare, taking the game 72-58. The victory was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on three straight.

Albemarle has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for L.C. Bird, their loss ended a 20-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-4.
