Volleyball Recap: San Diego's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

San Diego suffered their biggest loss since August 12th on Friday. They came up short against the Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions, falling 3-0. The Vaqueros were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in September of 2018.

San Diego's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8. As for Santa Gertrudis Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.

San Diego didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Bishop on the 16th. Santa Gertrudis Academy has also already played their next matchup (against Falfurrias), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
