Boaz and Geraldine pushed the score to 49-20 the last time they played Geraldine, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 20-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.

A big part of Boaz's win came down to the chemistry between Beau Bennett and his top target Sage Bennett. Beau threw for 113 yards and a pair of TDs while Sage gained 142 total yards and two touchdowns.

The victory made it two in a row for Boaz and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 14 points in those games. As for Geraldine, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.
