West Vigo came out on top against Northview on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Vikings took their game against the Knights 5-0. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not much got past Camryn Funk, who gave up just six hits to keep Northview off the board. Funk has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jaycee Elkins was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ariana Elkins, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for West Vigo and bumps their season record up to 14-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Northview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.

West Vigo wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 15-6 defeat against Vincennes Lincoln on the 20th. As for Northview, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Terre Haute North Vigo on the 20th.
