Basketball Recap: Central of Coosa County Skates Past Comer with Ease

Central of Coosa County's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Comer Tigers 42-11. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 31 points or more this season.

Central of Coosa County found their leader in sophomore Queen Ballard, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 18 boards. What's more, Ballard also racked up three steals, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Imiya Reese was another key player, putting up eight points along with eight steals and five boards.

Central of Coosa County now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Comer, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Central of Coosa County will be playing in front of their home fans against Vincent at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Comer, they will venture away from home to take on Fayetteville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
