Recap: Berkeley Springs Indians vs. Southern Fulton Indians
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Petersburg, the Berkeley Springs Indians were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 48-40 win over Southern Fulton. This was payback for Berkeley Springs, who suffered a 66-50 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrea Elder, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Elder scored 15 or more points. Kamryn Pittman was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, Southern Fulton were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The win got Berkeley Springs back to even at 1-1. As for Southern Fulton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Berkeley Springs will head out on the road to face off against Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southern Fulton will be home for the holidays to greet Windber at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
