Recap: Jordan Warriors vs. Cinco Ranch Cougars
The Jordan Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 59-44 bruising from Cinco Ranch. While losing is never fun, Jordan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 665th, while Cinco Ranch is ranked 150th).
Cinco Ranch's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Camille Torrence led the charge by scoring 18 points along with four blocks. Those four blocks set a new season-high mark for Torrence. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniya Foy, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Jordan has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Cinco Ranch, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5.
Jordan will be home for the holidays to greet Seven Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Seven Lakes' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. As for Cinco Ranch, they will head out on the road to face off against Paetow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
