Soccer Game Preview: Rim of the World vs. Notre Dame

The Rim of the World Fighting Scots will venture away from home to square off against the Notre Dame Titans at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Rim of the World's offense. They came up short against Troy on Saturday, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Scots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 510th, while the Warriors are ranked 148th).

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous seven contests, Notre Dame brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They walked away with a 5-3 victory over Yucca Valley on Saturday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Titans' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Their offense was hitting Yucca Valley from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Rim of the World's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Notre Dame, their win bumped their record up to 2-5-2.
