South Haven Christian won the last time they faced Christian Community, and Kade Atkinson did his part to make sure it happened again. South Haven Christian walked away with a 26-19 win over Christian Community on Friday with plenty of help from Atkinson, who rushed for 243 yards and one score while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 12 yards and one TD. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 106.3 rushing yards per game.

The victory (which was South Haven Christian's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.8 points over those games. As for Christian Community, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Haven Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Tennessee Heat at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Christian Community, they will face off against Zion Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colts will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.25 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
