Tri-County and Rosholt are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2017, but not for long. The Penguins will head out on the road to face off against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Tri-County had taken Pittsville down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Penguins fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2.

Tri-County wouldn't go down easily and took Pittsville into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 23-25, 23-25, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Rosholt had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Thunderbirds. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hornets have posted against the Thunderbirds since October 15, 2020.

Rosholt now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Tri-County, they dropped their record down to 9-17 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Tri-County couldn't quite get it done against Rosholt in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Penguins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
