Bishop Moore is 8-2 against Trinity Catholic since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Bishop Moore had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 17-run drubbing they dealt Celebration on Monday. Bishop Moore blew past Celebration 19-2. The win continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Storm: they've now won three in a row.

Riley Johnson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Bishop Moore got a massive performance out of Ariana Lara, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Lara is also on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sabrina Griffin, who scored four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Bishop Moore hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Trinity Catholic had just enough and edged out South Sumter 3-1 on Tuesday.
South Sumter's batters probably weren't too happy with Caylee Barbe, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (she gave up three walks). Furthermore, Barbe didn't allow a single hit, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, Kristina Fogelman was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Kinley Forsyth also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.
Trinity Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. Bishop Moore picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-5.
Trinity Catholic's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bishop Moore hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .368. It's a different story for Trinity Catholic, though, as they've only averaged .247. Will they be able to contain Bishop Moore's hitters?
Bishop Moore might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Trinity Catholic in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Bishop Moore avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
