Basketball Game Preview: Lemoore Tigers vs. Tulare Union The Tribe

Lemoore has gone 6-0 against Tulare Union recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lemoore Tigers will be playing at home against the Tulare Union The Tribe at 7:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lemoore is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Sanger just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 62-33 loss at the hands of the Apaches. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Loss or not, Lemoore got some senior leadership from Papa Laye and Jasean Gardner. Laye posted 17 points in addition to eight boards and three steals, while Gardner put up ten points. Laye has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played.

Meanwhile, Tulare Union suffered their biggest defeat since February 7, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against Porterville, falling 70-48.

Tulare Union's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-2. As for Lemoore, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.

Lemoore skirted past Tulare Union 64-61 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Will Lemoore repeat their success, or does Tulare Union have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
