Soccer Game Preview: South Brunswick vs. Hunt

The South Brunswick Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Hunt Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, South Brunswick needed a bit of extra time to put away West Brunswick. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Trojans. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but South Brunswick were the better team in the second half.

Meryn Deutsch was the driving force of South Brunswick's attack as she scored both of South Brunswick's goals, bringing her season total up to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, Hunt came tearing into Wednesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.1 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 9-3 victory. Hunt might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by three goals or more this season.

Hunt's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 56 goals over those seven games. As for South Brunswick, their win bumped their record up to 7-11-3.
