Football Recap: Hilltop's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Hilltop proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 33) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Summerfield Bulldogs, sneaking past 30-27. For the Cadets, this counts as revenge for the 34-12 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Scott Bowers had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 97 yards and two TDs, and also picked up 33 receiving yards.

The win was the third in a row for Hilltop, bringing their record up to 3-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.0 points over those games. As for Summerfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Hilltop will welcome Montpelier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Summerfield, they are taking a road trip to take on Ottawa Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Green Bears at the right time seeing as the Green Bears are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
