Baseball Game Preview: Carrier Mills-Stonefort Wildcats vs. Gallatin County Hawks

Carrier Mills-Stonefort is 2-8 against Gallatin County since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Tuesday, Carrier Mills-Stonefort didn't have quite enough to beat Crab Orchard and fell 4-3.

Union County hit Gallatin County with a six-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hawks lost 9-3 to the Braves. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hawks have suffered since May 16, 2024.

Gallatin County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Casen Steele, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Gallatin County's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Carrier Mills-Stonefort, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Carrier Mills-Stonefort suffered a grim 16-1 defeat to Gallatin County in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
